Transportation
Transportation is desperately needed in Africa to transport supplies from the Port-of-Entry to the various countries we are involved in. Needless to say, not all the roads are in the best of shape, therefore we need suitable and reliable trucks. We now have access to DAF Military trucks from the Dutch government. They were built in 1985, but all of them have traveled less than 20,000 kilometers.
The vehicle costs:
- $12,000.00 USD – purchase price
- $1,500.00 USD – painting (against the law to keep “military green”)
- $6,000.00 USD – shipping from Netherlands to Zambia and/or Burundi
- Total cost is $19,000.00 USD
